J70 Grand Prix Spinnaker Sheets
We have been working with Marlow Ropes to create our new J70 MGP Technora/Dyneema Spinnaker Sheets.
Many J70 teams have switched to the new Harken Power 3 Ratchet Range, adding either 1.5x or 2x Grip. This is great for spinnaker trimmer allowing smaller rope diameter but really bad for rope! We noticed that existing cover blends were lasting a very small amount of time on the water due to the extra abrasion.
It was particularly prominent during whilst providing regatta support at the 2019 J70 worlds in Torbay, we have many requests for new spinnaker sheets mid regatta.
We have chosen Marlow Ropes to help us with this problem. Marlow have produced a custom cover blend to help solve this issue
