The 2017 sailing season is approaching quickly. We are working hard at Ocean Rope to improve our product offering in time for the Spring.
Our mission is not only to offer quality Yacht rigging but also provide expert advice to our customers for their individual needs. We answer all enquiries during the same working day.
We are excited to bring two great brands to our offering this spring. Firstly Marlow Ropes, produced in the UK using high quality materials. The second is Ropeye, a highly innovative brand in the Yachting market that continues to improve their products.
We are adding some Marlow products to our permanent range online. Initially two main products from the D12 range. D12 SK78 and D12 Sk99. Both products are made using Dyneema® fibres and offer a premium product in the UHMPE Market .
D12 Sk99 is one of the finest grades of Dyneema® fibres and offers excellent break loads at smaller diameters, perfect for building high load loops and strops. Watch out for more products made using this rope coming soon.
We will also be adding some of the Marlow braided range shortly, to help improve our offering for yacht refit projects etc. Initially we will bring Marlow D2 Racing 78 and Marlow Grand Prix 78 ropes to the range.
We can provide any of the Marlow ropes range on request, including custom Marlow Grand Prix Ropes.
Ropeye is a product we have been following for many years. During this time the company has continued to test and develop their products. We are very please to offer these products online.
Ropeye products were recently used onboard Alex Thompson’s Imoca 60 “Hugo Boss”, 2nd placed in the vendee globe.
Ropeye XS is a low load carbon padeye designed for interior usage such as stacking eyes, lashing points, clip ons etc. A simple product yet carries the Ropeye guarantee of quality. These type of low load padeyes are used in the 100s onboard racing yachts
Ropeye PRO High Load Padeye features a curved base to evenly distribute load allowing amazing SWL to be achieved. Ropeye has added a chafe cover to the rope loop to provide extra durability. When compared to an equivalent steel fitting, Ropeye PRO is 5x lighter and 3x stronger. Ropeye PRO can be loaded in any orientation, will not rust and leaves the interior of the yacht free of bolts.
